Our 2150 arrived a few days ago and have been putting it through its paces.

Power/sound - Clean and does not distort/clip when the music calls for some extra umph. It does not seem to get warm/hot like some reviews I read mentioned. Running a MM turntable for tunes.

Looks - Fine with me.

Knobs - some are fine with solid clicks. The volume knob was glued on a little bit off center so it rubbed up against the housing of the faceplate. This prevented the remote from rotating the volume knob past 10 oclock.

I called support and they said sometimes in shipping the knob gets bumped and to just pull it out.

Well can't really pull it out as its fixed. Had to sort of bend it a little in the area where it was rubbing. After some fiddling I got it not to rub and now the remote will rotate it past 10 oclock.

I think its the way the knob was glued on, or perhaps the way the metal shaft inside the case was mounted. Just a little bit off axis.

Other than that its a fine receiver.

Spending more and I feel you will reach the point of diminishing returns. I compared it to 3 other receivers. Much better than old realistic 80 watt. not as scratchy.

A little better than a pioneer VSX 454, cleaner sounding. Both those are cheaper amplifiers.

Its built much better than those too, very solid.

This receiver is the point of diminishing returns. Meaning if you spend much more you are not going to get a WOW this is better. Maybe if you spent 10k. But really nothing under 2k is going to be much better if at all.
