Due to height constraint I cannot place the Outlaw LFM-1 EX upright (woofer facing the floor) and I was wondering if placing it on it's side (so that the woofer are firing sideways) would have any negative impact on sound quality. Another potential spot to put the sub is just behind the main seat close to rear corner wall. I could place it upright here but based on past experience with other subs, this is the second best spot for a sub in my room, the first being the corner front wall. Thoughts ?

BTW, how does the Outlaw LFM-1 EX compare to the new Rythmtik F12/FV12 and the HSU VT3-MK4 for HT use ?

FYI, my room is 17 x 19 with a small open foyer that leads to stairs. I was able to reach 20 Hz with the JL F112 so my room does give me some room gain. I also have a nasty dip @ 50&60 Hz with an Energy S10.3 sub but not with the JL F112. Are dips and peaks sub specific within a given room ?
