Just purchased a 2150 for use as a 2 channel to play old vinyl. I purchased it with 2 wharfdale 10.7s and find them to be a little lacking in the realism department at louder volume. Can anyone recommend something at the $1200 (or so) price point that has a good bass, mid and treble range? thanks so much.

Look at some of the posts and see what people have noted in their signatures and then go check out some websites. I like the Aperions in my theater and wouldn't hesitate to use them on the 2150. My 2150 is driving a pair of ceiling mounted Klipsch. They lack a little on the bass side but work for my application.

A lot depends on what you want: Bookshelves and a sub? Towers? Planars?

I'd consider raising your budget to $2000 per pair. Lot's of nice full range choices in that price range from Magnepan, Aperion, Klipsch and others

Thanks. I purchased the PSB Imagine X2Ts which are extraordinary with the 2150. They are truly outstanding tower speakers. I appreciate your input the good ideas.

I find it to be an absolute smash combo with Pioneer FS52's. Drive and timbre are really great, on your toes type of presentation.

Even though a speaker selection by the OP has been made, I will throw in my two bits on speakers for the 2150.

The Definitive BP8040 are great with the 2150. It doesn't hurt that with the amp/speaker combo I have a potential of 800 watts running; 600 of which cover frequencies below 200 Hz or whatever frequency the 300 watt amps in each Def Tech speaker kicks in. The significant dynamic range, clarity and kick with this amp is a treat.
