When I turn the 1050 out of Standby, all audio sources are played at low or no volume. Instead a fair amount of static hissing noise is present. After about 5 minutes, music starts to appear. By 15 minutes the sound is back to normal and the static/hiss noise is gone.

Anyone else run into this? I suspect bad capacitors but who knows.

It sounds like the output capacitors are going bad. It is an expected think as they age especially if they spent long periods not being used. A trip back to Outlaw will make it healthy again for not too much money.
