I recently acquired a 7200. I hae this connected to my Outlaw 990 via 12 volt trigger. Approx 10 seconds after everything I power everything off, I hear a weird noise come out of my right front speaker. It is almost like an electronic slide down the frequency (from high to low). Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks in advance

Hi Wild Wolf

The sound you are most likely hearing is the sound of the capacitors discharging. However this is normally silent through a built in mute circuit, that appears may not be functioning properly.

Did you buy this from us directly?

I recieved my Outlaw Audio 7200. I bought it at Outlaw store B-stock sale last week.
Connected it up to my Onkyo 805 and Polk Audio RTi12s.
A few issues/concerns:
1. Discharge sound like a gust of wind blowing about 4-5 seconds after turning off the amp using the front panel switch (blue light goes orange)
2. A hum from the torroidals. I can hear it from the listening position when room quiet or quiet scene in movie or between tracks. Cannot hear it when music playing.
3. Volume from Onkyo 805 for same volume setting (after calibration) seems much louder/clearer than with Outlaw (digital path to internal amp section vs multi ch output to external amp)

I am going to see if these issues go away in a few days of amp use.

This morning I recieved the 7200 replacement.
Connected it up and all else remaining the same - issues resolved!

With replacement amp:
1. No discharge sound on power off
2. No transformer hum sound

I will be calibrating sound and other characteristics this week (#3).

I did wish to convey my thanks to Ben B. He was pro-active, cared about my issues and provided excellent support. Looking forward to enjoying the amp.

Thanks Outlaw Audio!
