I just returned from vacation to read the stunning email from Peter and Outlaw. What a shame that good companies are devastated by not so good companies. I guess that is the way of the world.

I sincerely hope Outlaw will fight its way out of this debacle and return with a great processor in the future.

My real question now must be... since the 997 is dead which processor out there is the logical choice? Peter said they had a budget processor in the works but I don't want budget. I want a great processor for $1,500 - $2,000. What are my real choices now in the market?

I have the 990 and was waiting on Outlaws latest. Had the 950 and 970. Since their latest has been canceled was thinking about the Sherwood R972 to replace my 990 which I still like. Wondering if the R972 will sound as good or better then my 990. Using an ATI 1505 amp plus a 2 channel amp but if I gonwith the R972 will use the internal amp. Just wondering will zi really be going better or not.
