Has anyone experienced their sub discharging the filling used to dampen the enclosure. My 1EX has lost a handful of the stuff in the last few days. It is coming out of the unplugged port. I can't believe it is normal but can it hurt anything?

not sure if it hurts anything, but will certainly change its sound, and not for the better.

Opened up a ticket with the Outlaws. It sheds everytime I play something with HT bass. LOTRs is like chemo with the amount of filling that escapes. It hasn't affected the sound so far.

Outlaw says its OK to lose some filling and it is an expected phenomena. If I want to ewplace it I need to remove the woofer and add some more fill. No big deal as long as the warranty doesn't die at that point.

You would think that it would have some sort of retention element to prevent the filling from escaping. Part of it may be me moving it around because I usually just lay it over on its side to slide it on the carpet. If I have to replace some fill in a few years I will, but right now, fuhgedda about it.

My LFM-1EX has never lost any of its filling. I would really question Outlaw about this. In my opinion this is not normal and should not be taken lightly. Outlaw should actually replace the sub as far as I am concerned..

I spoke to Outlaw today. When they install the dampening material sometimes there are some loose bits in the cabinet. The loose bits eventually work there way to the ports and get puffed out. They said it should stop pretty quickly and then no mre should escape. The sub still sounds great and there doesn't seem to be anymore coming out. I have already filed the ticket so if there is a problem in the future it is on record.
