Maybe you should edit your post and title to reflect your error(s).
Edits are apparently only allowed within a few minutes of posting. If I could, I would edit my previous post. While I take full responsibility for the power switch goof, I put the top issue on the company. Many products are shipped with peel away protectors, and they are usually clear or blue tint plastic that sticks out in places so it is obvious they are to be peeled away. This protector was completely different. First, it is colored exactly like MDF, looking just like an unfinished surface. Second, and most important, the finished plastic edges on the top GO OVER the protector surface so all edges are completely underneath them. It looks like a finished edge, not something to be peeled away. Therefore, they should simply stamp PEEL AWAY PROTECTIVE FILM on the top or include an insert that mentions this. Problem solved and customers are happy, not frustrated or embarrassed. I am not a noob to HT. This is my fourth sub. I have had HD systems for 5.5 years and I have 3 surround systems in my home, and high end audio for 30 years. I was able to get my network printer to work with with both 64 bit and 32 bit drivers even though my new new 64 bit computer would not accept downloads of 32 bit drivers. But, I couldn't figure this out without the kind folks here.
That all said, I am very happy with the sub now that I have had a couple of weeks to tweek the settings of my system. If you have small mains and need a high crossover, it may not be the best for that. But I am using a 50 Hz crossover with the port plug and extended range setting and it covers the low bass very clean and clear. Before I lowered the crossover it was a little muddy, but the deep stuff is real clean at a low crossover with seemingly effortless range and output potential. It does exactly what I needed it to do and does it well.
