Model 975 won't turn on - 05/23/15 11:49 AM

Has anyone had a Model 975 work perfectly one night, you shut your system down (just like always) and the next morning ... everything powers up except for the Model 975? I tried removing the AC cable and letting it sit for a while, but it still won't turn on after I put the power cable back in place.

Can anyone thing of anything I can try or am I SOL until Outlaw's back in the office Tuesday?

Thanks for any ideas,

Interesting. Some 12 hours later and the 975 just turned itself on.

Suggest drawing a chalk pentagram on the top plate of the 975, along with the sacrifice of a small furry animal.

And ... no working this AM. Hmm ... the temps have been in a very nice 50-70 degree range, low humidity. None of the vents are blocked ... shouldn't be a heat issue.

RDGrimes, I have a neighbor who's a satanist ... I'll ask him for some help with the pentagram.

Sounds like a power supply issue or intermittent circuit board pathway.

Yep, same thoughts here. Talked with Peter this morning and will talk with Ben Tuesday AM.

With these types of power cords, over time, there can be some arcing at the connection prongs on the back panel receptacle. This can result in oxidation that may prevent solid contact, which can produce intermittent operation. You can try to burnish the prongs and see if this helps.
