No signal from 975 HDMI/ARC output

No signal from 975 HDMI/ARC output - 12/13/14 12:54 AM

I have several Outlaw products including a 1050, 1070, 7125 and a 990. I have had my 975 for over a year and am just now setting up the new media room. I tried to setup the 975 with a TV by connecting the 975 HDMI/ARC output to the TV HDMI input but I get the message "no signal" on the TV screen. I also tried connecting my projector via the HDMI/ARC and again got no signal. Is it possible that the HDMI/ARC output on the 975 is defective?I have tested the TV HDMI input and it is working....any suggestions? Thanks

Are you able to get the on-screen display menu when you press the menu button on the remote? This would tell you if the HDMI connection to/from the TV and 975 is good.
If you can get the menu, then the trouble could be the connection(s) between your HDMI source device(s). try reconnecting them. If this has no effect, you'll have to contact Outlaw customer service.

Is the TV set to use HDMI/ARC? I saw in another thread that someone had to tell the TV to use the ARC function. I don't know that it would make any difference but have you tried another HDMI cable?

Dr. Z had contacted us; an HDMI hotswap solved his issue. You are right XenonMan, in that a lot of Display Devices will either require CEC to be set to ON or specifically ARC to be set ON in order for the Audio Return Channel to function properly.
