Just buy two 7700s and bi-amp all your speakers. You would save about $400 and a lot of trips to the chiropractor.

Last year around the 4th of July the Outlaws had a tremendous sale on amps including the 7900. No indication whatsoever that it will be repeated this year, but I will be watching!

Re: 7900 amp - 05/07/11 11:27 AM

My wife asked me if the 7900 would go on sale for Mother's Day. I told her that it likely would not. That is a real shame - so many moms deserve a Mother's Day gift like the 7900. While the more chauvinistic of you may be satisfied with getting something mundane like jewelry or the like, the real men - those of us who always put the needs of their significant others ahead of their own selfish desires - would jump on this like all get out. So many possible uses! Preventing that equipment rack from ever rattling again. Shaking the dust loose from any nearby furniture. Warming up an otherwise damp and cold night. Helping her with the David Nordmark Power Isometrics DVD Course. Adding real presence to the showing of home movies of family events like picnics and baby showers. I could go on, but you get the idea. Outlaws, I urge you to seriously consider honoring America's moms next year by offering the "Outlaw Audio 7900 Mother's Day Appreciation Sale".

I was originally thinking of May 31 as a great day for a sale on the 7900, but I then realized how inappropriate THAT would be:

What are the best features of 7900 amp?

Re: 7900 amp - 05/27/11 10:54 AM

Aside from performance that is at least as good as any of Outlaw's other amps, mostly the difference is power. If you need a ton of power and have two dedicated circuits available, it gives you 300W per channel into all seven channels.

Congratulations on your purchase! That is likely to be the last amp you'll ever buy.Looking for a better one is like searching for the holy grail.

One of the great things about the 7900 which no one has mentioned is that it is unlikely to ever be stolen since it takes two people to move it.

Re: 7900 amp - 05/29/11 12:43 AM

I live in Lafayette, Louisiana. Saw a story in the newspaper this morning that a local deli moved its 600 pound ice-cream machine outside to clean it. When they came back out to start the job, it had been stolen.

You just never know!!! <g>.

I hope this is acceptable, it's not a question about the 7900 amp but, I noticed you have the Axiom Epic 80 HT series. I am finishing my basement with a Home Theater 28' x 13' x 8' set up and am wondering how satisfied you are with your Axiom setup.
I am at the point of running in wall speaker wire.
In the near future I will being looking seriously at purchasing a new speaker system.

@jeanpaulfitness1 or anyone else running them. I'm curious how happy you are with the Axioms? I have a set coming. 2-M80's, 1 VP-180, 2 QS8's and 2 M2's for rear. Or Strider 53, did you ever purchase them?

Re: 7900 amp - 12/03/11 09:14 PM

If I didn't already have my Klipsch setup I would have bought the Axioms or a set of Aperion 6Ts HT setup. Love the QS8. A friend has them and they are awesome as surrounds.

For goodness sake Xenonman chiropractors have to make a living too.

Just by the 7900.

Thanks
Your chiropractor.

Don't look now, but the 7900 is 3500 and the 7700 is 2150, so 2 7700's are $4300 vs a 7900 for $3500.
