UPDATE: This was not a problem with the Outlaw 1050. Turns out it was a faulty speaker wire causing a short. My bad. A thousand pardons. ~e

I have noticed that sometimes when I change sources the 1050 will shut itself off. For example I was listening to CD's and switched the source to DVD. When I did this the 1050 shut itself off. It has happened a few times.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

I too had a unit that shut down unexpectedly, but not under the circumstances you describe. In my case the receiver would simply shut off while I was watching a movie.

Outlaw made good and swapped out the unit.

Did you use the remote or the source button on the front of the receiver. I had a problem where the source button on the front was very sticky and I initially couldn't power up the unit when I got it. Scott in tech support had me work the source button on the front a little looser and now I have no problems.

Check it out.
