while helping a buddy of mine decide if he wanted separates or a receiver for his sound system....I recently auditioned an Arcam 350 A/V receiver...and damn!looking at it's specs...it's array of hook-ups....listening to the demo...I couldn't help but feel that this receiver was trying to look and behave like my 1070...and oh boy !is it overpriced !!!
from the purely video switching HDMI...to the 7.1 analog inputs...
don't get me wrong...those Arcam DIVA's sure sound nice...but at this time...with the HDMI debacle still ongoing...and for the money...
as far as I'm concerned...the Outlaw 1070 was ahead of it's time...and can play along with the big boys until the Outlaws give us the next "best" receiver....
