As part of the decision announced last month to cancel the Model 997 processor and speed up the development of the much more advanced Model 998, we realized that it was important that we offer an HDMI enabled product to fill in for the short term for those who want to update their home theater systems. Why Marantz? Why this model? The answers are really quite simple: This is a best-in-class product with incredible sound quality that can be used either on its own (with a 7x90 watts per channel amplifier) or paired with an Outlaw amplifier via a full set of 7.1 preamp outputs. Extending the sound quality beyond your main listening room there are separate digital and analog zones along with amplifier triggers (for your Outlaw amplifier, of course!), IR flasher inputs and RS-232 control with modules available for both Crestron and AMX control systems. For satellite radio fans the SR 5004 offers connectivity to either XM or Sirius antenna modules.
