Please tell me that Outlaw decided to include these with the M2200.

It seems like such a pain to have to go find a set of ears separately from the amps. And, given what they must cost to manufacture, they're very expensive to buy separately.

Is it possible that Outlaw doesn't really think these OUGHT to be rack mounted?

I haven't seen anything that would indicate the inclusion of rack mount ears in the box with the M2200. As you may have already discovered, most M200 users who elected to rack-mount went with these . Since many of the M200's and M2200's sold will not ever end up in a rack-mount situation (probably a substantial majority, based on much of the discussion I've seen in the M200 thread over the years), Outlaw may not want to include ears in every package. If the M2200 does not ship with ears, maybe the Outlaws would consider offering rackmount ears for sale for those who need them.

The other option if you've got a standard equipment rack is to get rackmount shelves. You never know if the 2200's chassis was designed to handle the stress of being rackmounted.

Cheers,

Gonk,

Yeah, I've seen those. Too bad Outlaw can't either buy a gross of these and re-sell them to us, or simply include them in the box. $25 (+ $6 shipping) is another 10% of the price of the amps. Even if they couldn't sell them for less than $25, I'd rather give my money to Outlaw.

Ritz, I currently use shelves for the ones I have, but you end up wasting space that way, even if you disregard the fact that rackmount shelves are really expensive too!

Thanks for the feedback.

Brian
